100 numbers for the 5th edition of the charity race Run for Children
Once again, FCC is taking part in the popular charity race Corre por el Niño 2015 [Run for Children 2015], which is organised by the Niño Jesús University Children's Hospital with the aim of funding projects for its Biomedical Research Foundation. The Group has obtained 100 race numbers for FCC employees and friends and family who wish to take part in the race which is to be held on 8 November at 9:30 in Retiro Park, Madrid.
This year there will be a children's circuit (1 kilometre long) designed for the youngest children, as well as another two circuits: one 4 kilometre circuit and the long 10 kilometre circuit (chip-timed).

Previous edition
Thanks to the funds obtained from the fourth edition of the race, the following clinical care research and improvement projects were launched:
- Simulation Centre: comprising two equipped rooms and under the slogan “Antes De Ejercer, Entrénate” [Before Exercising, Get Training]. The Paediatric Simulation Centre enables professionals to acquire complex technical skills, integrate knowledge and train in a realistic setting with the aim of improving medical care without placing patients at risk.
- Online Paediatric Intensive Care Units: Twenty centres without paediatric intensive care units are participating in this pilot project which aims to show the benefit of consulting a paediatric intensive care specialist over the telephone or video call, when faced with an emergency or clinical instability situation which may or may not require a transferral to a paediatric intensive care unit.
- Fever without source in children under 3 months: for the study of immune activation markers. This study has begun thanks to the funds raised from the race, and it has already been awarded by the Spanish Society of Paediatric Intensive Care (http://www.seup.org/institucional/becas/becas2014.html).
Run for children and run for your health. Practise solidarity and sport.
