Message from the CEO, Carlos M. Jarque

Dear colleagues,

Diversity management is a commitment of FCC Group, which is why we wish to join in the World Day for Diversity for Dialogue and Development, held by UNESCO since 2001, on 21 May. According to the United Nations, the purpose of holding this day is to “deepen our reflections on the values of cultural diversity to learn to live better together.”

FCC employs more than 54,000 persons from 34 nationalities. Our Group promotes the necessary cultural change to tackle the challenges facing us as a consequence of our increasing internationalisation, and to optimise the management of teams of persons with diverse profiles in the organisation.

In FCC Group we have a vocation to undertake actions and programmes that promote equality, diversity and employment integration proactively in each of our companies. We want to achieve greater interaction and innovation among different cultures, origins and competences.

Ultimately, we wish to create an organisational environment that matches the diversity outside the company, that attracts, retains and enhances people with different profiles, that provides new options and points of view, creative solutions and knowledge of the cultural and economic diversity of the markets, and that encourages a culture that allows the establishment of the links between the corporate values and priorities and the needs of the people that form part of FCC.
