FCC and the newspaper Levante hold a round table on “Municipal actions against the climate change”

FCC Medio Ambiente, the Spanish brand for FCC Ennvironment,  in collaboration with the newspaper Levante held a round table entitled “Municipal actions against the climate change.” The seminar was held in the assembly room of the Fundación Bancaja in Valencia, within the “An alternative to the climate change challenge” conferences round, a subject to which FCC feels very committed.

The seminar included the participation of Joaquín Huguet, Mayor of Onda, Ruben Alfaro, Mayor of Elda, Antonio Francés, Mayor of Alcoi, Juan Antonio Sagredo, Mayor of Paterna and Rafael García, Mayor of Burjassot, who explained the measures used or planned for implementation in their municipalities to protect the environment. The Climate Change General Director of the Government of Valencia, Joan Piquer, closed the seminar.

Representing FCC Medio Ambiente were itsChief Executive Officer, Jordi Payet, who emphasised the involvement of local authorities in this ambit since they are the closest ones for raising public awareness. Also present in the seminar was Salvador Otero, Director of the Levante I branch.

FCC Medio Ambiente is working continuously to implement best practices focused on the fight against climate change which, year after year, contribute to reducing greenhouse gases and to attaining the objectives of sustainable development and goals set around them for 2030.
