New Road Safety Campaign
We recommend that drivers take great care on the road this summer. Caution and respect for the rules of the road and for other drivers are of utmost importance. Here are five reasons to be extra careful:
- Eighty million cars are expected to set off on long-distance journeys, but not all of them will reach their final destination. It's not just a question of chance. Take precautions.
- Every summer there are accidents, and there is generally more than one victim (family members, colleagues, friends). You can't change the number of accidents in 2011, but you can avoid becoming one of the statistics in 2012.
- Summer road safety campaigns raise awareness about real risks. It's up to you to avoid them.
- Police and emergency services work overtime to keep the roads safe in summer. Summer is a time for taking it easy, but safety shouldn't take a holiday.
- Road safety tips and recommendations are simple to understand, easy to apply, and free of charge. What's more, they save lives. Do your part.
There are many reasons; staying alive is the best one of all.
