FCC Construcción completes the Concepción Aleixandre building at Miguel Hernández University

FCC Construcción has completed construction of the Concepción Aleixandre building at Miguel Hernández University. The building has a floor area of 7,600 square metres spread over three floors, which will be used to teach degrees in Occupational Therapy, Podiatry, Physiotherapy and Nursing.

The ground floor of the new building houses six classrooms, a dining room and a co-working space, designed to encourage cooperation among students and the development of projects. These areas have been designed with accessibility and functionality in mind, in response to the growing number of students enrolled in health-related degree programmes. The two upper floors contain computer rooms and teaching laboratories for practical work in the four degree programmes. These spaces reproduce real clinical environments to enhance students' technical skills and their integration into professional healthcare contexts.

The building is named after Concepción Aleixandre Ballester, a Spanish doctor and scientist from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, considered a key figure in gynaecology and the fight for women's rights.
