FCC Construcción has completed the construction of the new headquarters of the CEU Cardenal Herrera University in Elche (Alicante). The new headquarters was built to accommodate more than 500 students studying dentistry and psychology. The existing building, which had protected elements to house the aforementioned faculties, has been renovated, adapted and expanded. The most valuable elements have been preserved, as well as the protected elements. 

The new university headquarters has more than 4,200 square metres distributed over five floors, including classrooms with capacity for more than 60 students, 20 clinical boxes equipped with advanced technology for patient care, a dental clinic, a cafeteria, a terrace and two interior courtyards that provide natural light to the building.

The building is located within the protected area of the Palmeral de Elche, declared a Site of Cultural Interest and classified on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
