FCC Construcción wins the 2025 TRACCS Rail Achievement Awards with the Scarborough Subway Extension SSE-SRS project

FCC Construcción has won the prestigious 2025 TRACCS Rail Achievement Awards in the Project Achievement of the Year in Canadian Rail category with the Scarborough Subway Extension SSE-SRS project.

The Scarborough Subway Extension SRS project will extend Toronto Transit Commission Line 2 service by nearly eight kilometres towards Scarborough. It will run from Kennedy Station to Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road, providing fast and seamless transportation for those heading to the city centre and those travelling within Scarborough. The extension will replace Line 3 (Scarborough RT), helping to reduce travel times and improve access to employment, schools and other key destinations in the city.

FCC Construcción, through its subsidiary FCC Canada, has been present in Canada for more than 25 years. In 1998, it was awarded the contract to build, operate and maintain the Fredericton-Moncton motorway. In 2011, it was awarded the contract to extend a section of the Toronto subway expansion, the city's first modern subway infrastructure project. This project was completed in 2019.
