FCC Construcción wins the contract to build the new Hall Zero pavilion at Fira de Barcelona (Spain)

FCC Construcción, in consortium with COMSA, has won the contract to enlarge Fira de Barcelona's Gran Via venue, worth more than 75 million euro and with a 48-month completion period.

Specifically, it will build the structure and roof of the future pavilion. Called Hall Zero, the new Fira de Barcelona pavilion will increase the exhibition area by 25%. The new pavilion will have more than 60,000 square metres of exhibition space and a total built area of 135,400 square metres. Thus, with the incorporation of Hall Zero, the Gran Via venue will go from 240,000 square metres to over 300,000 square metres, placing it among the world's elite in trade fair and congress facilities.

In addition, the new pavilion, which will have two floors, will be connected to the current venue from above, by means of a unique elevated walkway.

This project is in addition to the below-ground work previously awarded to FCC Construcción.

With these new awards, FCC Construcción continues to position itself as a leading company in the design and construction of unique non-residential buildings (health, cultural, sports).
