FCC Construcción wins the contract for the execution of the Baix Llobregat highway (Catalonia)
FCC Construcción and COMSA have won the contract for the execution of the Baix Llobregat highway (Catalonia). The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (MITMA) has awarded the contract for an amount exceeding 54 million euros and will consist of the completion of the works for the extension of the Baix Llobregat Highway in the Ronda Litoral section of the Highway of the C-32, formerly known as A-16, in the province of Barcelona. The objective of these works is to improve the mobility of vulnerable users in the area.
The project will connect the A-2 motorway with the C-32 motorway through the new B-25 motorway, as well as a connection will be created on the C-32b motorway with the industrial estate and the urban area of El Prat de Llobregat, which will allow a better connection of the C-32, C-245, BV-2002 highways and the urban road of Sant Boi.
750 meters of 3-meter-wide bike lanes will be created along the B-25 road, south of the Llobregat river. In total, action will be taken on 24 structures, including roads, railways and paths intercepted by the route.
FCC Construcción continues to improve urban and peri-urban mobility through the transport infrastructures it executes.
