FCC Construcción has won the first edition of the “Committed to Equality” awards of the Chamber of Contractors of Castilla y León.

The Chamber of Contractors Castilla y León, regional association of infrastructure and public works companies, launched in 2018, in collaboration with the Junta de Castilla y León, its I Plan for Equal Opportunities between Women and Men to prevent and eliminate situations of gender inequality, acquiring the firm commitment to actively promote the implementation of equality plans among its associated companies.

Under the slogan “Infrastructure and Public Works, a sector that respects”, the Chamber of Contractors Castilla y León presented the awards “Committed to Equality” with the tribute to the companies that are pioneers in the implementation of plans and measures to favor of gender equality in the construction sector.

Since in 2008, the construction area of the FCC Group launched the equality plan, the first in the sector, there have been multiple and diverse development measures and positive actions implemented, having allowed the establishment and promotion of an organizational environment respectful of diversity. Actions and programs to promote equality, diversity and labor integration have been proactively promoted to contribute to people's well-being.
