FCC Construcción present in the first brochure of Good Practices of Circular Economy
FCC Construcción is present in the first Catalog of Good Practices of Circular Economy elaborated by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Challenge Demographic. FCC Construcción presented as action the obtaining of the certificate "Zero Waste".
The objectives of the good practice were:
- Collect, classify and recover in the most efficient way possible all the waste generated in the project.
- Reintegrate waste into the system as new resources or raw materials secondary, avoiding their elimination.
- Reduce the use of new natural resources.
To achieve the objectives, the following actions were carried out in construction site:
- Study and classification of the waste fractions generated on site.
- Continuous study of the improvement in collection, containerization, packaging and waste treatment, in coordination with those responsible corresponding to the work and with the authorized external managers.
- Training of construction personnel on the correct management of materials and waste.
- Hiring of an operator responsible for supervising the collection tasks, classification, conditioning and storage of waste.
- Development of a waste management procedure on site, adapted to each work team.
- Process for obtaining the “Zero Waste” certificate from AENOR.
