FCC joins the "He For She" and the Adecco campaigns to support the International Women's Day
FCC joins the celebration of International Women's Day, a date that has acquired a global dimension and has gone on to become a space for reflection on the progress made by women and aspects to be further improved.
This year, at FCC, we want to echo the "He For She" solidarity campaign launched by UN Women, the United Nations organization devoted to promoting gender equality and women's empowerment.
"He For She" promotes equality and integration of women in various areas, including business and seeks to involve men and boys as advocates and participants in the cause.
In line with the provisions in the framework of the "He For She" campaign, FCC's commitment is reflected in its active participation in promoting equal opportunities:
- FCC is a signatory to both the United Nations Global Pact, and to the principles for the empowerment of women UN Women, which provides practical guidance on how to empower women in the workplace.
- FCC considers management of equality and diversity as the centerpiece of all its activities and accordingly they have a policy of equality and diversity that reflects their commitment to equal opportunities, promotion and respect for diversity and the eradication of all forms of discrimination or harassment.
- In addition, as part of the strategy on equality and diversity, the Group have developed and implemented together with the main unions seven Equality Plans from 2008 up to today.
- The main companies of the Group have signed in 2014 four agreements with the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality in order to increase the number of women manageresses in their boards of directors and thus achieving a balanced gender presence in positions of corporate responsibility.
We encourage you all to join the initiative "He For She" through the link below: http://www.heforshe.org/en#.U20zjlfEHIk.
In addition, on this occasion FCC also want to join the campaign "Do not put the gender, do put the talent" promoted by Adecco Foundation that reflects on the problems to which thousands of women have to face in our country as a result of the double discrimination: for being women and for their social and personal condition
