A well-designed Intranet offers a wealth of benefits as it uses an existing communication channel to reduce costs, increases productivity by providing access to procedures and to relevant information in a timely and appropriate manner, and improves the internal perception of the working environment. These benefits are clear, although they cannot always be measured in terms of economic targets; it depends on each organisation.
