FCC has participated in the guide of good business practices in accessibility
The Spanish Association of Labour Prevention Services (AESPLA) has presented at the Congress of Deputies the 'Guide to good business practices in accessibility', a document that aims to contribute to the improvement of working conditions of people with disabilities, removing architectural and communicative barriers in the workplace and encouraging employers to take them into account.
The guide, in which FCC has taken part in its development as a member of AESPLA has been supervised by the State Reference Centre for Personal Autonomy and Technical Aids (CEAPAT), agency depending on the Ministry of Health and supported by the Seres Foundation (Society and Responsible Company). It has also received approval by the National Institute for Safety and Health at Work (Instituto Nacional de Seguridad e Higiene en el Trabajo = INSHT) and by the Regional Health and Safety institutes of the autonomous communities of Madrid, Catalonia and Valencia.
The document includes among its chapters one dedicated to mobility in the worksite, where universal design principles and best practices, as the necessary interaction between accessible pedestrian itineraries and the workplace are offered, and another one dedicated to accessibility to communication and information systems.
The document also includes good practices already implemented, with the aim to set an example to other companies when undertaking accessibility projects.
